Before filing a complaint with the Office of the Children Ombudsman, you should try to resolve the issue with the local department of social services by talking directly with the supervisor.

Each local department of social services has its own procedures. If concern is unresolved at the local level, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Children Ombudsman.

Complete and file the complaint form sending via e-mail to complaints@oco.virginia.gov or send it by mail to the Office of the Children’s Ombudsman
